Tania and I greatly appreciated your love, prayers and your interest in our missionary work. This last year here in the Amazon basin has been a time of adjusting to a new life style, not only as a young couple but as a new missionary family with a destiny to fulfill.
We are totally aware of the unique opportunity we have here to reach out to the un-evangelized tribes in the Amazon jungle and the strategical position we have been placed in by God.

This month has been packed with events!!
The request to teach at the indigenous seminary, that proved to be a successful step in making imperative relationships. As I see it we are in the right place, at the right time to have the opportunity to share Christ with those who want Him.
Through being at the seminary we made new friends with some leaders of the other tribes. They were interested in learning English and would like to exchange languages every Saturday. They came from the last town before you go up river to all the other tribes. This opportunity is both good to have their friendship with the different tribes and to learn their languages in exchange for English. It is also a great location to share the message of Christ.
My mission director George was in Leticia this month. We were planning on doing a medical trip together up the Javari River, but I got sick and it was better for me to sit that round out. The highlight of this month was being able to participate with the indigenous seminary.
During the end of the seminary the students experienced the Holy Spirit, like in the book of Acts. It is necessary to have that power as a believer to undergo what is to come. There is much more evangelizing and frontier mission work yet to be done in this region.
Remember, the missionary work here is project oriented work. There is always something going on whether it is serving with Clauber in Brazil or up river sharing Christ with tribes. We work through a facet of different ministries, feeding programs, language learning and teaching, Bible teaching, evangelization, medical programs, water purification systems etc… All to a means of getting the Gospel to the tribes that have still not heard over so much time. And to build up the indigenous brothers, sisters and youth that already are believers to send them out as well.
Sometimes it can be hard to understand and to communicate what is happening so many miles away in a foreign land.
Thank you for your prayers and support,
Joshua and Tania

These past two months have been busy. A lot of running around and new experiences. Tania and I just got back from Iquitos, Peru we had a little vacation after the wedding celebration.
Our wedding and reception was on June 6th,. Pretty much the whole village showed up, around 350 people. I have never planned a wedding and celebration before, it was a lot of work, but it went well, a special thanks to the CFNI students who were there and helped serve all the people.
My family also came down from Canada to meet their new family in law and join the celebration. It was a joy to have them here.
Prior to my family arriving in Colombia, I had a meeting with the Tikuna Chief of the community.
After that meeting I was invited to a second meeting with more of the members of the community, to verify if I would be accepted by the community as a whole and given land. It was an intense meeting that ended at 12:30am with a favorable result. Praise God!
The only thing now that I need to get done is my residence in Brazil. Seeing how I am married to a Brazilian it should not be too complicated, but please do pray that this will go smoothly. Right now, we are living in the house behind my in-laws. We are waiting for the land to come through soon so we can start building our house here in the community. I am also taking a sabbatical for six months. I’ll be building our house and learning languages and learning more about missions in this part of the
world to prepare myself to launch our ministry here. Also we would like to go to Canada to get refreshed and reconnect with churches and share our vision. This is in part to get visas, financial support and paper work completed, so I can become a Brazilian resident and Tania can become a Canadian resident.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Joshua and Tania Turner

Greetings,
The medical clinics where a success! We were able to visit several villages and assist many people not only with medicine but Spiritually.
The idea of the medical trip is mostly to use it as a tool for evangelizing. We set up clinics in their villages and the people come from everywhere and we verify their symptoms and pray with them. Due to the area where we are in the Amazon, it is an effective tool to reach lives that have never heard about Christ.
The desire I have is to eventually live with a tribe that does not know Christ and totally emerge myself in their culture and help them to know Christ, until He is formed in them and they can do the work of God. I am slowly working on this goal and I can actually see it coming to a reality real soon.
While I am not busy with a team from the USA. I live a pretty simple life here, helping other missionaries fulfill their work; whether it is fixing their boats or taking care of things around the Amazon Xpeditions home or learning and studying languages. There is never a dull moment here.
I have some other news as well. Tania, my girlfriend and I are in love and have decided to get married. The wedding is going to be in June in Brazil. I will have a celebration ceremony back in Canada a few months after the wedding. I will keep you informed of these dates when they are certain.
Blessings to all and thank you for all of your prayers and support in this matter.
In the grace of God,
Joshua Daniel Turner
