This trip was favored from the very beginning. God had everything under control and as challenges came we had peace, joy and knew it was all going to be OK! The weather was even in our favor! Cool breezes, rain and fewer mosquitoes!

The unexpected trip of March was a complete success!
We had a team from Alabama, one from Montana and a gentleman from Idaho that absolutely blessed the Amazon people and us in many ways!
The Alabama team consisted of High School seniors and some of their mother’s and teachers from their school. The Montana team consisted of four young guys that no job was too big for them!
They joined our Amazon team in Leticia and off we went to different villages to build eight tables for a children’s feeding station in Peru, painted walls in classrooms in Brazil, and held the First Woman’s Conference in Colombia!

The week before we traveled was filled with awesome events! First I graduated from Christ for the Nations and was also ordained! My brother moved back to Texas and the whole family traveled on this trip to the Amazon! It is nice to have the whole family working right along with you for the same goal!
We returned to Dallas Texas from the Amazon on June 10, 2009 safe and sound. We were there for a month but it felt like we were there barely a week! There is so much to accomplish and never enough time!
When we landed in Leticia, Colombia I lost track of Justin! He landed running, by the time I arrived with the group of students from CFNI to our base head quarters, he was already fixing the water pump that supplies the house with water, cleaning, and running to the city for parts. It really amazes me how no job or task is too big for him. There were days he had more than five projects to complete and he DID!
He is a huge blessing! This trip was a success and we accomplished all the projects mentioned in our last newsletter.
Justin’s dream and goal was to see the people of Barrio Nuevo, Colombia drinking clean water! Prior to the trip my Dad and brother traveled to several churches and raised funds for this project in the USA. Enough money was raised, and then Justin led the students to completing phases 1 – 3.
BEST PART!! We were able to set up THREE water systems in THREE different locations! It was awesome to see my Dad, Justin, my brother, about seven CFNI students, Clint the water system Tech and YOU making it possible for the Amazon people to have clean water! (With out your prayers and financial support these projects would only be drafts on the drawing table!)
Katherine’s mission to supply all three feeding stations with enough cups and bowls was accomplished! We raised just enough money to buy 500 of each and now there are 500 children extremely happy to have their own cup and bowl! The teachers and pastors cried as we walked towards them with our hands full of new cups and bowls. THANK YOU to each of you that made this a success!
The month passed very quickly, trying to keep 18 students busy and happy is a task on its own. I enjoy training, preparing and finally taking these teams to the Amazon due to the fact that you can really see God working in each of their lives. Some realized that mission work is actually tougher than they ever imagined!
We had several children Bible camps, ministered at several Churches, completed three water systems, small construction projects, assisted other missionaries living in Colombia and even had the opportunity to wash their feet! That was an awesome time for all of us! We prayed, cried, hugged it was so nice to bless them with a tradition that our Lord started so long ago.
For those of you that don’t know Katherine she is an animal and nature lover! (Under statement) She loves nature and sees everything as a gift from God and if she can nurture it and help it grow and feed it she is all over it! She was asked by the Missionary that has an orphanage in Colombia to please give a class on how to train, treat and love their new brown Labrador! It was Katherine’s dream come true! It is funny how she actually taught the children and they got it right away and well now everyone is happy!
We are now preparing to return in September with a team that will have a nurse and doctor that will train some of the natives how to care for others medically.
We are also trying to raise our monthly support so we can travel to the Amazon and be able to stay for three to six months there and totally become part of the community so we can continue to assist them not only with construction, water, food, medical supplies but with a good strong foundation of God’s plan for them!
Once again thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. Together we are making a huge difference in the Amazon Jungle!
All for His Glory,

Raising 500 cups and bowls for the children in the Amazon!
I am on a mission to get 500 cups and bowls to the children in the Amazon. So far I have been able to buy and raise 503 cups and 60 bowls. I still need to 340 bowls. I have personally bought several, but I am still believing for the additional funds that we need for our trip so I have to put all my efforts towards that so I can take the cups and bowls.
So here is were you come in… and please feel free to share with a friend. If I can raise $130.00 I will complete my mission. Will you join me in completing this mission? I purchase them at Wal Mart and we will be packing them this Saturday (04-25-09) so I need to purchase them now.
Now for those of you that have no idea why I am doing this continue reading.
On our last trip to the Amazon we were passing out hot dogs and juice to about 150 children in Brazil. As I gave them their cup they would chug their juice and give me back the cup… I was like WOW they are really thirsty!! Then I realized that the reason they were chugging their juice was because there are only around 80 cups and 150 or more children and they know they have to share! Ohh my heart broke! So I made it my mission to raise cups and bowls for the four locations we are assisting. This will be a huge blessing for them!!! You will be touched and blessed when you see the smiles on their faces when I bring you back pictures!
So please check your heart and wallet and be part of this blessing!
Excited and believing,
Katherine Corrao

Dear friends and family,
My second trip to the Amazon this year was an unexpected one and it turned out to be a complete success. My father in law asked me if I could travel with him to Iquitos, Peru to take the Amazon Xpedition boat “Survivor I” for some much needed repairs. After so many trips on the Amazon River it needed a lot of TLC.
We arrived in Leticia and took off immediately on our ten-hour journey one way on the Amazon River towards Peru. We spent approximately four days there not just waiting but helping on the repairs so we could be back to Leticia on time to meet up with the medical team from Georgia.
We made it back just in time even though I got sick and was told to rest for a few weeks! Unfortunately I did not have weeks to recover, so I called Katherine and she recruited a few of you to pray and I felt better in matter of days!!
Thank you so much for all your prayers!
We got all the medical gear ready and off we went to help with the different tribes in Brazil & Peru. We were very well accepted in all the villages were we stopped. We set up two to three clinic’s a day depending on how many people were at each village. We spent six days on the river then returned to Leticia to reload and go back out to a town of 10,000 people. We also visited a place called Barrio Nuevo, this is outside of town where some one to two thousand people live. We spent a whole day there giving medical aid and praying for each person that came to the clinic. Even the police helped us to carry our bins full of medicine and food! This is unheard of down in Leticia! God is opening doors we never even dreamed could be opened!
It’s awesome!!!
While in Barrio Nuevo I was made aware of an issue they have and I have made it a goal in my heart to do something to help them. They make about five dollars a day and most just have barely enough to buy food. They just don’t have clean water and the little water they have is very dirty. The biggest problem we saw in many of the children was dehydration. My goal this year is to get these people clean water.
I was able to spend a whole day at the orphanage in Leticia, the children there are such a huge blessing, and they always welcome you with open arms and huge smiles. All they want is to be held and shown a few moments of your attention. Their stories are heart breaking and you wonder how they can be so happy even though they have already been and experienced so much. We held a clinic there and prayed with each of them, when I asked them what they wanted me to pray for they never once asked for anything for themselves, they just asked that I would pray for someone or their whole family that God would keep them safe, give them food, water or healing. These children are from the ages 3-15 years old. They are so selfless, it’s amazing.
I was asked to go on this trip to help out with mechanical skills, translation and cooking for the team. In return these amazing people have blessed me and I would like to continue to help them with clean water, medicine, food and God’s love. Katherine and I plan to return on May 12 through June 10, 2009 to continue our work in the Amazon.
We would like for you to join us, if you cannot come with us please consider supporting us to go. We don’t only need the financial assistance for the travel expenses, but for the projects we want to accomplish. Thank you for all your prayers and financial support. With your help we will reach all the unreached tribes of the Amazon!
Stomping out thirst one cup at a time,
